Position Summary:

The Associate, Automaker Partnerships will support EVgo’s business development efforts with auto manufacturers.  EVgo partners with the world’s leading automakers to expand fast charging infrastructure, build customer charging incentive programs, and deliver a seamless charging experience for EV drivers.  The Associate, Automaker Partnerships will play an important role in developing relationships and programs with new automaker partners and managing existing automaker programs.  The ideal candidate must be a strategic thinker, someone who can be adaptable in a start-up environment, and a self-starter.  This position will report to the Senior Manager for Automaker Partnerships.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outreach to new possible automaker partners.
  • Develop pitch materials and new product proposals for automaker partnerships.
  • Respond to automaker RFPs opportunities.
  • Create and design PowerPoint decks to support EVgo’s automaker engagement
  • Assist in developing technology integration solutions for automakers with EVgo’s IT team.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to improve EVgo’s offerings and execution on automaker programs.
  • Develop metrics and measurement of opportunity funnel and program success through dashboards and other mechanisms.
  • Track automaker offerings, trends, and the overall competitive dynamic. 

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience on issues.
  • Excellent communications skills, both in terms of writing and presentation and comfort being directly in front of customers.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Outcome-oriented and commercially minded.
  • Knowledge of EV charging technologies is a plus.
  • Experience working with automakers is a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to take initiative and drive projects forward, particularly in a cross-functional manner.
  • Exceptional team player who can flourish working in a collegial environment as well as deliver work on their own
  • Able to be collaborative while working with remote colleagues
  • Intellectually curious, desire and ability to learn new content and concepts and be able to think creatively
