Technical Director, Project Engineering
Description
- Manage the quality and on-time completion of project engineering deliverables for a pipeline of projects.
- Report on status of RFPs, RFIs and change orders.
- Train, grow and manage the performance of a team of project engineers.
- Create new and update existing standard operating procedures to document project engineering and project management practices, aligning with evolving business needs.
- Document project lessons learned to be incorporated into future project designs, whether related to technology or AHJ-specific requirements.
- Conduct technical due diligence on project scopes.
- Manage the company’s construction RFP process.
- Negotiate engineering & construction master service agreements.
- Analyze contractor labor and compliance in connection with state and federal regulations.
- Develop project cost estimates and build engineering & construction project cashflows.
- Build business cases supporting go/no-go project funding decisions.
- Develop equipment demand plans in support of procurement long-term planning.
- Scope enhancements to cloud-based enterprise systems used for managing engineering and construction projects.
- Telecommuting permitted pursuant to company policy.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience.
- EPC projects.
- Project estimating, construction-related costing methods, RFP methodologies.
- Managing programs of short timeline projects, leveraging web-based databases and ERPs for data analysis, reporting and decision-making.
- Electrical distribution networks and utility/AHJ requirements.
- Improving and streamlining existing business processes.
For job positions in CA, CO, and NYC, the estimated salary range for a new hire in this position is $174,374.88. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, discretionary target cash bonus, and restricted stock units (subject to Board Approval).
