Position Summary:
The Senior Director, Business Development (BD) Partnerships will be a key leader responsible for managing the team leading EVgo’s fleet, automaker, utility, and other partnerships. The successful candidate will bring experience, energy, and astute management acumen to guiding our team of professionals responsible for generating, negotiating, and closing new revenue opportunities. They will partner with other senior leaders within BD and across the organization to inform strategy, develop and track objectives and key results (OKRs), report on key metrics, and maximize the overall output of the collective team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and implement plans that drive revenue delivery and support the EVgo strategic growth plan.
  • Lead OKR development and monitoring for the BD partnerships team.
  • Coach individual members of the team to deliver to and/or adjust the plan in the pursuit of maximizing EVgo’s near-term and long-term revenue from commercial partnerships
  • Directly engage with key commercial partners and support deal strategy as well as individual negotiations as needed
  • Implement internal processes to complement existing SOPs, including deal approvals
  • Provide research and reports to the board when necessary.
  • Implement training internally focusing on upskilling and performance enhancement and stay engaged and knowledgeable on market trends and changes.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement plans that support the EVgo strategic growth plan.
  • Maintain and improve key customer relationships.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven track record as a leader and management competencies
  • 10+ years of experience navigating commercial opportunities and managing teams to successful outcomes, eMobility or other clean energy domain preferred.
  • Exceptional team player who can flourish working in a collegial environment as deliver work on their own.
  • Must have a customer-facing experience that has delivered results.
  • Intellectually curious, desire and ability to learn new content and concepts and be able to think creatively.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to collaborate and contribute to the success of the total business model Inherent strong. planning, analytical, interpersonal, decision making, problem-solving, and financial skills.
  • Passion for and skill in organizational management, including developing and implementing data-driven metrics for team accountability.
  • Experience and understanding of the fleet/mobility/cleantech industries and market trends preferred.
  • Strong Sales leader with a track record of successfully managing a team, good negotiation skills, and the ability to influence and manage internal relationships successfully.
  • Strong project management capabilities, ability to manage relationships/manage different people with varying objectives simultaneously.
