Position Summary     
      
Join our mission of expediting mass adoption of electric vehicles for everyone! EVgo is seeking an experienced Data Engineer Manager who will spearhead the advancement of our pioneering pricing software with the aim of transforming how we set $/kWh prices on our chargers. Role responsibilities include; determining the data infrastructure strategy to power the software, own the end to end software roadmap together with the data science team and support a seamless implementation of model recommendations. Are you interested in becoming a domain expert and shaping the customer experience in our rapidly growing industry? Responsibilities 
  • Lead efforts of gathering, processing, and making pricing data available for software development projects and reporting. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, data scientists, and product managers, to understand requirements and ensure data infrastructure meets project needs. 
  • Design and implement robust data pipelines to ingest, transform, and store pricing data from various sources. 
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of databases, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security. 
  • Evaluate and implement advanced data engineering technologies to enhance the efficiency and scalability of data processing. 
  • Provide strategic guidance on data architecture and contribute to the overall data governance framework. 
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in data engineering, ensuring our systems remain cutting-edge.  
Qualifications      
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
  • 5-7 years of data engineering experience, exposure to projects related to pricing data is preferred but not a must. 
  • Strong expertise in designing and implementing data pipelines which can be integrated to power pricing software. 
  • Proficient in SQL, database design, and optimization techniques. Proficiency in Python and Databricks is a plus but not mandatory. 
  • Solid understanding of cloud-based data storage and processing solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure and Snowflake). 
  • Experience with version control systems and collaborative development practices. 
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative and dynamic team environment. 
  • Interest in performing other tasks such as data analysis and data validation. 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 
For job positions in CA, CO and NYC, the estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $135,000 USD to $145,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, discretionary target cash bonus and restricted stock units (subject to Board Approval).
