Position Summary:    
   
EVgo is a rapidly growing company in the charging industry.  We seek a talented, business-oriented professional who can autonomously manage all phases of new development.  The site developer prospects for new public charging infrastructure that will lead to the fueling stations of the future.  The successful candidate will be a critical member of the team focused on identifying potential charging station locations, developing and nurturing host relationships from inception to contract execution for all North America regions.     
   
Responsibilities:    
  • Develop and manage pipeline of potential new locations that will achieve company goals to serve our current and future charging customers.   
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external development partners.  
  • Develop, refine and manage thorough site due diligence.  
  • Interact with and understand the key business relationships at EVgo including the local utility, architects, electrical contractor, and auto manufacturers.  
  • Lead efforts to obtain all necessary approvals from Site Host and work with internal departments to achieve utilities and permitting approvals.  
  • Work with internal legal department to draft, negotiate and execute site host agreements.  
  • Ensure all build designs meet financial review requirements.
 
Required Skills and Experience:    
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred with one to two years of field sales experience.  However, extensive experience may substitute for education.  
  • B2B sales experience preferred. 
  • Proven ability to prospect, engage and close complex deals.  
  • Experience working with contracts, real estate, utility, planning, charging infrastructure, EV infrastructure policy, and local permitting preferred.  
  • Excellent communication skills internally and externally in the areas of written and verbal communication.   
  • Strategic thinker, self-motivated and can communicate complex concepts for strong autonomy throughout the role.  
  • Strong organizational with the ability to oversee 15+ projects in various stages of the project.  
For job positions in CA, CO and NYC, the estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $105,000.00 USD to $110,000.00 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, discretionary target cash bonus and restricted stock units (subject to Board Approval).
