The Opportunity 

Health eCareers, a property of Everyday Health Group is looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR). This role is a key member of the HeC sales team that will work with assigned accounts & leads to grow sales. Using tools that support outbound calling, personalized emailing and social selling to build relationships within these target accounts, MQL’s & prospective accounts; your wins may be finding a new client need or scheduling a meeting for your AE or AR with a new decision-maker within a target organization.  Someone who is competitive and seeks to participate in both prospecting and a strategic team sales process; possessing strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, will thrive in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify new prospects and opportunities, and develop strategically aligned advertising and resource offerings to meet recruiting needs.
  • Build and maintain a sales pipeline for future business in order to meet all monthly, quarterly and annual leads & sales targets.
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies and plans to identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Utilize diverse sales methods to strengthen brand awareness and generate new sales opportunities within existing and prospective customer base
  • Creates, manages, and maintains database of leads, contact information, customer interactions and account status
  • Completes necessary steps to setup new customer account
  • Schedule meetings with new decision makers at target companies or identify new projects that need HeC services.
  • Act as the single point of contact for MQL’s & inbound calls/requests and work to qualify inquiries into opportunities and set meetings for the sales team.
  • Support the strategic account-based marketing campaigns and events.
  • Create personalized messaging designed to engage new-prospects and use your industry-knowledge to engage new contacts via phone and email. 
  • Utilize Salesforce and sales tools to accurately document and monitor all business leads, opportunities, activities and sales. Use data tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator to find new contacts and build your connections. 
  • Initiate and deliver sales proposals and presentations with key decision makers.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.


Job Qualifications


  • Proven track record in achieving monthly, quarterly and yearly sales KPI’s & goals.
  • Demonstrated success in prospecting, managing sales & marketing qualified leads..
  • Strong communication, presentation and writing skills..
  • Energetic, results-oriented.
  • Strong planning, time management, and decision-making skills.
  • A positive, solutions-oriented and success-driven attitude
  • Resilience and an ability to overcome objections
  • Competency in using common software programs, such as G Suite and/or Microsoft Suite, SalesForce.com, Salesloft, Tableau, or other CRMs, etc.

  • Required Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 1-3  years of successful sales experience
