The Opportunity
Everyday Health Pro/P&P is looking for a data science engineer joining our data science team to support data engineering, programming and testing of data science algorithms/applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Application and Data Management (40%)
- Oversee the operation of application workflows and databases within Databricks environments.
- Establish efficient data pipelines from AWS, SQL, and Kinesis streaming.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, and Technology teams to architect applications and data flows.
- Enhance computational efficiency and storage performance.
- Data Science Programming (40%)
- Implement application designs using Python or Spark.
- Design, develop, and refine recommender systems and natural language processing models.
- Evaluate algorithms through testing, perform comparisons, and conduct result analyses.
- Manage GitHub for code deployment and version control.
- Knowledge Management (20%)
- Document and upkeep data science projects and programs.
- Produce technical notes based on team discussions.
- Facilitate coordination among team members across the US and India.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years' programming experience, with a focus on data manipulation and analysis.
- Proficiency in programming languages: Python, Spark, SQL.
- Knowledge of data science, including neural networks and large language models.
- Proficient use of Git for version control, preferably GitHub.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
Desirables
- Prior experience with AWS, Databricks Spark, or other distributed computing platforms.
- Familiarity with Linux operating environments.
- Prior experience with API services.
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools such as Looker or PowerBI.
