The Opportunity

The Health eCareers Business Development Manager will help build market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing business relationships. Create partnership strategies to facilitate company growth. Focus on both short and long term growth strategies. Identify and develop strategic relationships with potential partners. Work with other departments to ensure alignment of company goals, as set by senior management. Evaluate appropriate information to model and forecast the return on potential partnerships. Design, determine, and negotiate terms of partnership agreements.

Key Responsibilities

Identifying new areas/markets for strategic partnerships as well as expanding our association partnerships

  • Contacting and meeting with potential partners to establish a business relationship
  • Identify trendsetter ideas and opportunities by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and leadership teams.
  • Strong understanding of company products and/or services as well as business position and competition to keep business competitive.
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
  • Screening potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and financials.
  • Examines risks and potentials for business opportunities.
  • Estimates partners’ needs and goals.
  • Developing quotes and proposals for clients.
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; and integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Enhances organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and explores opportunities to add value.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Flexible schedule and able to travel as needed.
  • At Least 5 years’ experience in B2B Business Development
  • Comfortable working with and presenting to executive level contacts
  • Experience with ROI modeling
  • Strong presentation, negotiation and closing skills.
  • Healthcare industry experience a plus
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • High energy, engaging, and a team player with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • A creative thinker and resourceful problem solver.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance and be proactive.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Suite, and PowerPoint.
