The Opportunity

Prime Education, a property of Everyday Health Group, is looking for a Medical Copywriter with experience in the healthcare industry to support our marketing strategies and maximize learner engagement with our educational programs in order to advance knowledge, confidence, and competency across healthcare stakeholders. The Medical Copywriter will be responsible for developing copy to drive learner engagement and support all of PRIME’s marketing strategies across all numerous distribution channels for our educational programs. In order to do so effectively, the Copywriter will need to first develop a comprehensive understanding of the value that PRIME’s programs bring to advancing knowledge, confidence, and competency among healthcare stakeholders. You will then need to understand the objectives of each program, unique elements of the educational model, and the target audiences to create stimulating copy that drives learner engagement. The Copywriter will also use the same information to collaborate with the Design team on concept art for each program and ensure medically accurate representations of the therapeutic areas in the art utilized in the marketing assets. Since the copy and the concept art will support marketing efforts across various distribution channels, including dedicated email, banner advertisements, textlinks, on partner sites, and through social media, the Copywriter will need to make adjustments as necessary to accommodate the specifications and the target audiences of each channel. This work will include working closely with PRIME’s Lead Production Specialist to actively manage our social media accounts. Furthermore, the Medical Copywriter will work closely with other members of the Marketing team to evaluate the impact of the copy and art in driving learner engagement, and to identify opportunities for optimization which you’ll then implement. Lastly, the medical copywriter will be responsible for developing press releases on an ongoing basis to highlight awards, publications, presentations, and other noteworthy achievements by the organization. The Medical Copywriter will report to PRIME’s Vice President of Marketing.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop copy to driver learner engagement with all of PRIME’s educational programs
  • Collaborate with the Design team on concept art for each program
  • Make adjustments as necessary to the marketing copy and art to support the requirements and target audiences of each distribution channel
  • Work closely with the rest of the Marketing team to evaluate the effectiveness of copy and art and make optimizations as necessary
  • Work closely with the Lead Production specialist to manage PRIME’s social media accounts
  • Develop press releases as needed to highlight the organization’s achievements
