Our product design team creates digital experiences that meet users where they are within the pregnancy and parenting journey, to deliver support without judgment.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a full-time Director of Product Design to lead a team of designers, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and innovate on behalf of parents in ways that meet the needs of our business. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering high-quality experiences that resonate with users and positively impact health outcomes. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and drive product design strategy and implementation. Collaborate with key partners to deliver compelling experiences that deliver on company goals and mission
  • Lead a team of product designers and UX designers. Create clear paths for their future success and impact by providing feedback, guidance, and mentorship to the team
  • Lead design operational needs and processes such that the team can work smoothly with cross-functional partners 
  • Ensure the overall quality of design output and its contribution to business objectives
  • Ensure that we design & build inclusive and accessible experiences
  • Ensure that experiences achieve product-market fit, and are valuable and usable for customers
  • Since you will oversee multiple brands, craft distinctive and relevant product design principles, guidelines, and creative assets across multiple platforms
  • Ensure that research (both quant and qual) is integrated into all product development efforts along with iterative design thinking
  • Proactively assess UX risks, raise flags and resolve issues
  • Help us deliver our mission to support healthy pregnancies and confident parents

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product design and UX experience
  • 2+ years of experience managing designers and teams
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design methods related to mobile products
  • Clear communication skills and storytelling abilities 
  • Proven track record of designing user-friendly features that help the company achieve business goals 
  • Expert level knowledge of Figma 
  • Systems thinking, problem solving abilities and critical thinking skills
  • Robust hands-on experience across a variety of UX research methods
  • Excellent UI / UX design skills across a variety of user-facing platforms
  • SME or life experience in women’s health and/or pregnancy & parenting is a bonus
