The Opportunity

Everyday Health Group Pregnancy & Parenting seeks a results-oriented SEO Content Strategist to partner with the editorial and product leadership of What to Expect and BabyCenter on accelerating and scaling our organic traffic growth. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, and will have an exceptional ability to think critically and communicate effectively across all levels of this matrixed organization. The position reports to the Director of Content Operations and is a U.S.-based remote work opportunity. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the editorial leads for What to Expect and BabyCenter to develop a search-centric content planning and optimization process. 
  • Perform keyword research to identify content gaps, emerging trends, and new traffic opportunities in the pregnancy and parenting landscape, with an emphasis on leaning into categories in which each brand has a right to win.
  • Regularly audit existing website verticals, identifying content that should be updated, pruned, or merged. 
  • Spearhead projects to bolster E-A-T, including executing page-level product/UX updates, improving internal linking, establishing entity connections, and more. 
  • Build Google Discover visibility, collaborating with editorial to optimize headlines, images, and topics 
  • Monitor and track reporting on traffic and rankings, and deliver actionable insights to the editorial team.
  • Stay up to date on SEO industry news and trends, and communicate important information to leadership.

Job Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in SEO; publishing experience preferred
  • Experience working on evergreen content that requires a high level of accuracy; experience with health content a plus 
  • Expert knowledge of E-A-T best practices 
  • Advanced writing and editing skills 
  • Experience using Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMRush, and other industry-leading SEO tools
  • Experience with internationalization a plus 
  • Proficient in Excel
