The Opportunity

Everyday Health Pregnancy and Parenting is seeking a .NET Lead Software Engineer passionate about building world-class applications. Our ideal Engineer will have experience working on a large-scale consumer web platform. 

As a .NET Senior Software Engineer, you will participate in the entire software development life cycle, debugging applications and configuring existing systems. You will work with other talented engineers on various web technologies. Ultimately, you’ll use your expertise in the .NET framework to help us deploy high-quality applications.

This is an excellent opportunity if you have experience building large-capacity consumer-facing websites, enjoy working with new technologies, and desire to build great products for new and expecting parents. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Play a leading role in the rapid development and maintenance of the What To Expect application 
  • Analyze system requirements and prioritize tasks
  • Develop technical specifications and architecture
  • Engage in technical planning, design, and code reviews
  • Test and debug various .NET applications
  • Deploy fully functional applications
  • Upgrade existing programs
  • Works with other team engineers and guides various application technology stacks.
  • Document development and operational procedures
  • Collaborate with the broader engineering and product organization to promote productivity and effectiveness by sharing business and technical insights


Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience
  • In-depth knowledge of the ASP.NET MVC framework, SQL Server, and C# 
  • Experience with AWS Cloud working with AWS services EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, CloudWatch
  • Proficient in designing and implementing highly available, large-scale web applications
  • Knowledge of SEO and experience with advertising frameworks like Google Ads would be a plus 
  • Strong team collaboration and communication ability
  • Attention to detail and excellent troubleshooting skills will help you succeed in this position 
  • No minimum education level is required. We believe and care about what you know, your experience, and how you apply them, whether you acquired it from college or charted your path beyond the traditional education means.
