FP&A Manager - Everyday Health

Everyday Health is seeking an FP&A Manager to join our team. We are looking for someone who has the ability to work with large amounts of information, synthesize trends and insights, and communicate findings to an executive audience. You will have the ability to collaborate with business partners to transform operational data into insights, build working models to foresee challenges, and influence others to take action. We're looking for someone with demonstrated analytical experience who can operate independently and proactively, identify outliers, and use sound reasoning and logic to make decisions.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Director, FP&A in New York, NY. 

Core job responsibilities

  • Ownership of reporting and metrics analysis (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual)
  • Partner with cross-functional business counterparts to develop annual business plans and analyze year-to-date performance and historical trends; collaborate with responsible parties to develop action plans to close any identified gaps
  • Collaborate with marketing finance across all DTC services on various analyses to identify most efficient marketing tactics and best approach going forward
  • Work cross-functionally with key partners in marketing and analytics to develop business insights that uncover subscriber growth levers and opportunities to improve customer value
  • Update weekly and monthly presentations and provide relevant context for business reviews with leadership
  • Lead, innovate, and execute a range of value-creating projects to drive superior business results; ad hoc projects include data analysis, insights generation, and communication of results
  • Assist with monthly close process by downloading actuals and comparing to budget and forecast. Provide variance explanations to help operating areas as well as our financial operations understand the drivers of our business each month, including, but no limited to DTC marketing, compensation projections, tracking headcount activity and hiring & attrition trend analysis.  
  • Assist with tracking various partnership expenses across the group. Provide variance explanations to help operating areas as well as our financial operations understand the drivers of our business each month


  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree is required, preferably with a major in finance or accounting
  • 2-5 years of relevant finance/strategy experience in media, direct-to-consumer subscription or similar fields
  • Excellent communication; ability to distill complex analyses into structured outputs and present to all levels of management
  • Track record of successfully delivering analyses that drive tactical and strategic decision-making
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills; experience building operating models and analyzing large data sets
  • Deliverable-focused, strong work ethic, able to prioritize, and resolve an array of issues simultaneously
  • NetSuite experience preferred
  • Adaptive Insights experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills
