Job Summary:

Provides project support and oversight for EvergreenHealth Primary Care practices and is a liaison to EvergreenHealth Medical Group. Responsible for project planning and implementation of operational initiatives that impact all EHPC clinics. Accountable for ensuring that EHPC Directors and Managers receive the project management support services necessary to ensure smooth functioning of daily operations. Accountable for helping implement standard work processes across EHPC and to support operational effectiveness and efficiency, excellent quality of care, and patient experience. Works directly with EHPC Executive Director, EHPC Executive Medical Director and EHPC Director. This position will work closely with Mgr-EHMG Business Support to align work across the medical group.

Primary Duties:

  1. Serves as the liaison and point of contact for EHPC within the medical group regarding project work within EHPC and projects that extend into EHMG.

  3. Establishes relationships and partners with supporting hospital departments including, but not limited to, HR, Finance, Decision Support, Call Center, IT, HIM, Revenue Cycle, marketing, patient experience, and regulatory compliance.
  4. Creates and maintains relationships with EHPC physicians, leadership and staff to build consensus around designing and implementing standard work and processes to improve operations.
  5. Responsible for instituting standard work and reporting for those departments providing support services to EHPC leadership.
  6. Works closely with EHPC leadership to assist with the development of strategic and operational initiatives.
  7. Responsible for planning and implementing EHPC-wide operational initiatives that support operational effectiveness, customer experience, quality patient care and financial management.
  8. Investigates and maintains a current knowledge of all applicable regulations and standards to ensure EvergreenHealth Primary Care (EHPC) compliance with the policies and procedures and relevant legal requirements (JC, Medicare/Medicaid, HIPAA, etc.).
  9. Leads project teams.
  10. Facilitates process for on-boarding new practices.
  11. Provides the leadership to develop, direct and implement Performance Improvement initiatives (including Lean systems).
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED for the position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, sciences, or a related field
  • 3 years of management experience
  • Project and change management experience
  • Previous experience in physician practice management
  • Knowledge and experience with JC, Medicare, State & Federal regulations
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build teams, provide team leadership as well as the ability to function as a team member.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate outstanding collaboration, flexibility and teamwork. 

DESIRED for the position:

  • Master’s degree (e.g. MBA, MHA) or equivalent experience/training
  • Training in quality improvement techniques (Lean or Six Sigma)
  • Experience in clinical operations
