Wage Range: $23.31 - $35.35 per hour

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Unit Tech performs tasks involving direct and indirect patient care, treatment, transportation, and various clerical tasks.

Primary Duties:
  • Organizes clinic for daily operation-preps and stocks rooms, prints out daily clinic schedules.
  • Greets and rooms patients. 
  • Observes and documents patient’s vital signs.
  • Prepare paperwork: Lab slips, follow up scheduling, places data into EMR.
  • Answers provider line, places calls to providers for RN/MD.
  • Assist with or prepares patients for wheelchair transport to OB ED, ED or Pediatric Unit.
  • Provide backup coverage for the front desk which may include checking in patients, rescheduling appointments, preparing charts and providing other clerical services.
  • Assists provider according to Washington State regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
 
License, Certification, Education or Experience:

REQUIRED for the position:
           
  • High School graduate or equivalent or applicable coursework to be applied to obtain required WA State Nursing Assistant certification (NAC)
  • Current or pending certification as a Nursing Assistant in the State of Washington
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire
  • Demonstrate ability to apply knowledge of basic patient care techniques and procedures in the care of the specific age group to which assigned
DESIRED for the position:
  • Phlebotomy
  • 1 year of related work experience
