In this role, the Manager works under the general supervision of the Director to assume 24-hour accountability and responsibility for area(s) assigned. The Manager is responsible for the overall quality of nursing care and for planning, developing, organizing, integrating, and directing programs, staff, and budget in support of the Purpose and Mission, Shared Commitment and Strategic Priorities of EvergreenHealth.  
Job Summary:  
  • Accountable for the environment in which clinical nursing is practiced by creating a learning environment that is open and respectful and promotes the sharing of expertise to promote the benefits of health outcomes.
  • Facilitates patient care including organization and management within established policies, procedures, standards of care, budgetary parameters, and strategic objectives.
  • Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care.
  • Assesses and evaluates staffing patterns for proper utilization of personnel in relation to patient care required.
  • Acts as a role model and provides continued guidance and direction to all employees.
  • Participates in, and promotes, organizational and unit-based quality improvement activities.
  • In coordination with Executive Director, develops and monitors annual capital and operations budgets. Coordinates development and implementation of appropriate methods to monitor adherence to budgets and resolve variances.
  • Develops and implements processes to manage human resource, materials, and finances within the established budget.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
License, Certification, Education or Experience:  
REQUIRED for the position:   
  • Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN)
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire
  • 3 years of recent clinical experience in pediatric or neonatal critical care nursing with demonstrated clinical knowledge and leadership qualities
DESIRED for the position:   
  • Master’s degree in nursing or related field
  • Previous experience in a management or leadership role in an inpatient care setting
  • National nursing specialty or leadership certification, or willingness to obtain within 18 months of hire
