Wage Range: $48.21 - $87.11 per hour

Job Summary: This is a training RN position for experienced nurses with at least three years of nursing experience who are interested in learning a new specialty in the Operating Room.  We provide 12-16 weeks of training depending on skill set and progress.  This New to Specialty position starts on March 16, 2026.  This is a 1.0 FTE position.  Schedule may include weekends, regular call, and holiday call. 

Primary Duties: 
  1.  Provides direct patient care and functions as a patient advocate.
    Assesses the comprehensive nursing needs of an assigned group of patients. 
  2. Coordinates the patient and family/significant other education process. 
  3. Continuously plans, implements, and evaluates patient care, incorporating patient and family/significant other into the process. 
  4. Participates with physician partners and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient and family/significant other plan of care. 
  5. Communicates effectively all relevant information (e.g., patient information, safety issues, problems with equipment, quality issues, etc.) to immediate supervisor, in timely way. 
  6. Communicates and documents changes in patient condition, on a timely basis, to charge nurse/supervisor and physician. 
  7. Performs other duties as assigned. 
REQUIRED for the position:
  • Graduate of a nursing program (Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required)
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington 
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire 
  • Understanding and ability to apply radiation and laser safety principles. 
  • 3 years of nursing experience
 DESIRED for the position: 
  • Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN)
  • Master’s in Nursing (MSN)
