Job Summary
Adheres to Hospital’s Policies and Procedures and Philosophy of Care.  Consistently exhibits professional conduct that is a behavior-based expression of the Hospital’s Standards of Excellence and Code of Conduct principles.  Working as a member of the Human Resources team, the Recruiter assumes responsibility for managing the full-cycle recruitment process for all positions in the organization. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining the applicant tracking system, responding to applicant requests, reviewing staffing needs with hiring managers, scheduling interviews, pre-screening candidates, assistance with reference checking and recommending wage placement for candidates. Conducts interviews with applicants and makes hiring recommendations as requested by Managers, manages the full cycle recruitment process, maintains applicant records, and completes management reports as requested.  Communicates and corresponds appropriately, professional, and timely to leadership, employees across all departments, and applicants.  Provides excellent customer service to all external and internal customers.  Works collaboratively with the Recruitment Team at EvergreenHealth.   Will provide backup to Human Resources Business Partner as necessary.  
 
Primary Duties
  1. Manages the full cycle recruitment process for all positions in the organization.  This includes, but is not limited to, responding to applicant requests, reviewing staffing needs with hiring managers, posting and advertising vacant positions, visually screening all application materials, phone pre-screening candidates, scheduling interviews, participating in interviews, making hiring recommendations, recommending wage placement, coordinating reference checks and negotiating contingent job offers.
  2. Function as expert resource for management, candidates and employees regarding applicant tracking system, including completion of requisitions, job templates, employment applications, applicant screening. 
  3. Assists with completion of Personnel Action Forms (PAFs) and the Position Review Committee (PRC) process. Develops and maintains appropriate recruiting materials including social media, ads, web sites, brochures, mailings, etc. Monitors the advertising budget. 
  4. Develops recruiting contacts with agencies, schools and attends recruiting functions as appropriate.
  5. Works collaboratively with Recruitment Team at affiliate hospital EvergreenHealth
  6. Participates on Committees and works on varying projects
  7. Coordinating reference checks, background checks, manages the new hire credentialing and onboarding process for newly hired employees. May meet with new employees for HR orientation and coordinate with Employee Health Nurse for employee health records.
  8. Manages the Hospital Wide Orientation (HWO) process and facilitates the bi-weekly HWO session. Preps HWO session materials, ensures communication to internal and external parties of attendees.
  9. Manages the electronic employee personnel record software, including maintaining legally compliant and up-to-date personnel records, problem-solving, timely scanning and indexing of documents into appropriate section of electronic personnel file. Responds to requests for copies of personnel files.
  10. Provide backup to Human Resources Business Partner as necessary
  11. Other duties as assigned
License, Certification, Education or Experience:
 
REQUIRED for the position:
  • Associate degree in related field, or five (5) year’s equivalent work experience.  
  • Ability to function independently and professionally with minimal supervision. 
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of information and documents. 
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to establish and maintain appropriate professional boundaries. 
  • Highly detail oriented with expertise in Excel, Word and an aptitude for learning proprietary software and systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and listening skills, strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated positive interpersonal relation skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and ongoing tasks.
DESIRED for the position:
  • Minimum of five (5) year’s work experience in healthcare requirement preferred.
  • Certified Health Care Recruiter (CHRC) certification preferred.
