ABOUT US 

The Business Intelligence team works cross-functionally with multiple global teams from Data Operations to Activation, Programmatic, Planning, etc to handle domestic market business intelligence and ensure all data is put together correctly using Datorama and troubleshooting ETL pipelines. 

ABOUT THE ROLE 

You would be working cross-functionally with a global Business Intelligence team as well as the Data Operations team and the Activation teams ensuring all data is correct, troubleshooting pipelines, and working along with other Engineers as well as managing offshore Engineers. In this role, you will also use cloud platforms such as GCP and data visualization tools such as Datorama for Business Intelligence.  

YOUR IMPACT 

  • Become a trusted advisor to clients and consult on data and identify new way to use data to solve business challenges and support growth
  • Assess campaign performance and develop campaign reporting
  • Impact end-to-end (i.e. from the start) implementation of a Business Intelligence tool
  • Building reports using data visualization tools such as Datorama
  • Managing off-shore developers and engineers
  • Support development and deployment of data products and services across cloud environments such as GCP
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of client leads, engineers, and architects to translate data requirements and ensure the data is correct
  • Maintain a high degree of knowledge in cloud data architecture and ETL best practices, especially across Google Cloud Platform products and services
  • Act as a consultant and subject matter expert for internal stakeholders in EssenceMediacom Engineering and agency data science and tech leads
  • Impact end-to-end (i.e. from the start) implementation of a Business Intelligence tool

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS  

  • Experience in the media industry (in agency or client-side), adtech or martech, knowledge of media metrics, how to assess campaign performance and develop campaign reporting
  • Experience with reporting using Datorama (Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, Data Studio also a plus); implementing end-to-end of a Business Intelligence tool
  • Experience developing automated data pipelines / ETLs, SQL, etc
  • Experience in designing and implementing processes to complement technology
  • Strong knowledge in managing delivery of complex / cross-functional technical projects using common project management methodologies; change management techniques to ensure the adoption of technology by changing user mindsets/behaviors
  • Have vendor training / completed certifications for a Business Intelligence tool(s)
  • Experience using cloud technologies (ideally Google Cloud Platform, or AWS)
  • Experience with other programming languages e.g. Python is a plus
  • Awareness of Data Governance frameworks, and/or experience implementing robust Data Quality QA
  • Experience managing offshore/third-party development teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, experience and presenting to clients, and good interpersonal and influencing skills

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $60,000 to $140,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
