About the team 
The Media Activation team is responsible for providing thoughtful and exciting recommendations for Search, Social, Display, and Video, owning supplier relationships, and then executing those recommendations expertly. The Media Activation team leverages their mastery of each channel to make sure its recommendations are consistently excellent and innovative, and that in-channel performance and data integrity is maximized.
About the role
Your role will involve managing and buying campaigns across all AV channels (TV, Video and Cinema) for L’Oréal. You will be the one that is closest to the day to day buying and will know your campaigns inside out and pride yourself on the standard of delivery. Weekly competitive reports will be completed for the client. You will work alongside the planning and client teams to ensure a smooth execution of campaign delivery is achieved at every step.
You will also be responsible for ensuring weekly targets are met and overseeing work by the execs in the team. You’ll be expected to nurture, encourage and be a mentor for junior colleagues.
Your role will also involve building strong relationships with stakeholders, particularly TV stations. You will be required to ensure the clients TV schedules are suited for their target audience and that strong access to programming is negotiated. You will also attend regular meetings with stakeholders to discuss furthering performance of your clients campaigns and learn about future innovation across key suppliers.
Finally, you will also feed into the wider investment team and be prepared to challenge industry thinking by looking to develop new ways of measuring the value of AV solutions.
Some of the things we’d like you to do:
  • Have a good understanding of the TV marketplace and media owner offerings in this space and an enthusiasm to learn even more
  • Work closely with the Account Manager to manage VOD campaigns across the account, taking the lead in managing the process from booking to reconciling
  • You will be tasked with ensuring all best practices are implemented across TV, online and cinema campaigns with support from the Account Manager.
  • Contribute to team knowledge sharing and implement best practices.
  • Keep up to date with latest industry news and be proactive in spotting trends (seasonal or otherwise) which could affect clients' campaigns. 
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders including TV suppliers and various other media owners.
  • Ensure regular and accurate monitoring of your campaigns, so you can always provide an up to date picture of performance.
  • Together with the account manager, you will ensure all spends are booked correctly on the system at the right time and in line with our financial process. 
  • Being able to look at the bigger picture when buying – across multiple campaigns - and problem solve accordingly.
  • Establish strong working relationships with key internal teams and clients, as well as media owners
Competencies (specific knowledge, skills and abilities):
  • Proven experience in TV and VOD, either at Executive level, or approx. 1.5 years experience
  • Proficiency in industry standard tools (TechEdge, DEN and other Media Ocean applications)
  • Strong skills in all basic Office programmes (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
  • A passion for everything media and advertising, coupled with a continued desire to expand your knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills, and an ability to collaborate and engage with those around you
  • Diligent and attentive to detail, able to listen, learn, and put into practice
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines and project manage multiple campaigns.
  • Proven problem solving and ability to think outside the box for creative solutions coupled with good negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and to collaborate in a team environment.
