Global Associate Director, Data & Tech – adidas Group

 

Overview of Job:

 

adidas is one of essencemediacom’s largest global clients with an annual media buying budget of 400M€.  Spanning 68 markets worldwide, its account structure is underpinned by a global leadership team.  As part of the global team, the Global Data & Tech AD is accountable for developing data & technology strategy globally and driving its application through marketing and advertising technologies for adidas & Reebok.

 

The Global Data & Tech AD is the primary lead across cookieless, audience and creative data & technologies and projects; this includes but is not limited to cookieless technologies and solutions, CRM technology & data integration, ad personalisation, dynamic creative optimisation (DCO), and creative analytics.  Responsible for global governance, the AD directs execution teams (end users) in 68 markets on the use of technology, digital platforms, and data, and is also a key contributor to wider data and tech projects. 

 

The Data & Tech AD develops strategic guidance to local markets and end users, consults with tech vendors and source data and tech partnerships, and defines the cookieless, audience and creative test & learn agendas.  Works across brand and performance to align KPIs and provide holistic guidance for regions.  Additionally, oversees a WPP-wide project integrating Media & CRM channels for adidas globally.

 

Global Additional responsibilities:

 

Client servicing:

  • key day-to-day point of contact for clients regarding audience and CRM data & technology, dynamic creative personalisation, cookieless technology, and other data & technology associated topics
  • is the subject matter expert and go-to person in audience data & tech, DCO technology and cookieless solutions – the technology behind it, its application and management

 

Strategy & Planning:

  • drive long-term data & tech development for clients, defining testing programmes for the new technologies
  • lead audience, creative and cookieless elements within annual planning
  • shape audience tech, DCO and cookieless transformation roadmaps and lead delivery of these
  • lead strategic partner relationships across DCO and audience technologies

 

Commercials:

  • identify opportunities to grow revenue by cross-selling additional MediaCom services, such as DCO and Creative Analytics services

 

Innovation & Collaboration:

  • consult clients and liaise with vendors to evaluate tech needs and gather requirements; source tech partners, products and features clients should be testing
  • produce case studies to be shared globally, internally and externally
  • collaborate regionally and across all local markets ensuring quality product and service delivery

 

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Positive client feedback
  • Positive feedback from local market teams
  • High service scores in both annual client evaluation reports
  • Delivery of agreed KPIs based on the global contract
  • Award winning work that is recognised across the business and wider industry
