About the Role

Data Strategy involves transforming the way our clients think about, organize and orchestrate data & technology to deliver more timely, engaging brand experience for their customers. This involves thinking through the overall design of their ad stack, how they capture, manage and segment audience data, how they augment this with strategic partnerships, what should be the shape of their reporting, right down to the policies they need to govern their data in a safe and compliant way.

This particular role has a strong focus on audience insights, targeting and data management across all the brands of the L’Oreal UK account.

Some of the things we’d like you to do:

  • Act as the day-to-day operations lead for the use of L’Oreal’s audience data, working alongside the two other members of the L’Oreal Data Strategy Account team to drive forward data integration into cross-channel campaign planning and activation.
  • Lead on several key audience data projects, helping the client and the agency team advance their use of 1st and 2nd party audience data to identify growth target or translate based market research audiences.
  • Collaborate and support on response to briefs to ensure data strategy recommendations are integrated, clear to understand and that any technical terms or processes are explained.
  • Build out robust test & learn approaches, alongside Analytics, to validate hypothesis around the use of audience data.
  • Measure the progress made in the use of audience data across L’Oreal brands on a regular basis, assessing maturity levels, spends and performance.
  • Contribute and support on advising on client martech stack, identifying and recommending technology and platforms to facilitate greater use of data for analysis and targeting. This will include data audits of a client’s current setup, and evaluation of data and tech partners.
  • Maintain an oversight of the data partner market, and any of changes to the data privacy landscape, helping Planning and Activation teams with partners’ evaluations, tests and onboarding.

A bit about yourself:

Required

  • 4+ years digital experience working in data strategy, audience planning, ad tech, analytics, or programmatic roles, holding a strong understanding of the UK media landscape. 
  • Highly developed interpersonal, team building and relationship management skills
  • Strong analytical skills and a natural affinity for numbers is key; You must be able to analyze raw data, draw conclusions and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Strong project management experience and expertise, demonstrable skills in guiding the development of projects through to fruition and keeping key stakeholders informed across multiple workstreams 
  • Experience in using key digital media platforms, in particular, DV360, Campaign Manager, Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager

Desirable

  • A working knowledge of Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics
  • Experience working with clients data through the use of technology platforms such as a CPD, DSP and/or data clean rooms such as InfoSum, LiveRamp, Habu etc.
  • Understanding of consumer research methodology and tools (i.e. TGI, GWI, YouGov) with the ability to translate findings into insight and application
  • Strong client-facing presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas down into actionable insights and next steps.
