About the role

As Marketplace Director you will deliver the implementation across both online and offline, leading the overall responsibility of direction, workflow and quality of implementation planning and buying for the client team. Through thought leadership, best practice and innovation internally you will influence and inspire our people to ensure we have great talent and skillsets delivering great work.

What will make you stand out 

  • Lead, train and develop members of the marketplace investment team providing an opportunity to continuously enhance their learning experience.
  • Experience to work across all audited teams and successfully manage outcomes with both clients and media partners
  • Engage in TV & OOH negotiations across all your clients and manage those quality control conversations.
  • Intrinsic understanding of the investment implementation process, leading developments and find efficiencies.
  • An understanding of digital channels to create holistic approach to multi channel campaigns
  • Ensures team are using all Marketplace endorsed media planning/reporting tools and GroupM Knowledge tools, interpreting relevant data sources to build insights that lead to optimized channel thinking (e.g. GroupM Knowledge, Roy Morgan, Nielsen)
  • Maintains a healthy team culture, through training and development initiatives, managing people related issues as a priority to ensure overall happiness levels of team.
  • Actively take steps to make improvements to improve retention.
  • Creating long term development opportunities fostering your teams career growth during their time at EssenceMediacom.
More about you
  • A media planning and buying expert, able to utilise all tools and confidently train and develop others
  • Numeracy and analytical skills applicable to media proposal assessment, evaluation and negotiation
  • Experience working across global and locally audited clients
  • Sound knowledge and experience on how to react to various and adverse occurrences throughout the general operation of the team
  • Proven leader and can inspire and motivate the immediate and broader team
  • Has established fluent senior media relationships and utilises these to get the best outcomes for clients and the agency
