Reporting directly to the EssenceMediacom NZ Managing Director, the Managing Partner will be instrumental to driving the success of the New Zealand business and will sit on the Senior Leadership Team.  Specifically, the Managing Partner will:

·       Nurture and develop a high-performing team

  • Deeply understand and manage a complex client stakeholder environment, to set and deliver a long-term breakthrough vision for our clients
  • Bring product specialists together from across EssenceMediacom and GroupM to deliver great outcomes to clients
  • Drive sustainable and profitable growth to our agency and Group



·       Builds, inspires and motivates a high performing team to do great work and show love for our clients, through regular constructive feedback

·       Contributes to and delivers a people plan for the team to ensure that we are attracting, nurturing, growing and retaining the best talent

·       Manages and coaches direct reports and creates professional development plans for them

·       Builds deep and influential client relationships, facilitating a highly valued EssenceMediacom relationship

·       Delivers optimal servicing to clients, ensuring they are well-resourced and receive value in return for their agency investment

·       Oversees and supports the development and delivery of annual strategic account plans for clients – outlining areas for progression in work quality, process, collaborating and commercial return

·       Delivers progressive thinking in the development of our product and ensures we are driving digital, data and tech transformation for our clients

·       Takes ownership of P&L management and delivery, alongside the Managing Director

·       Works with the Managing Director on client contract negotiations, and manages the delivery of key expectations of agreed contracts

·       Develops and contributes to new business opportunities



·       Extensive knowledge of the NZ media market, and a healthy interest in major Global markets

·       Strong track record of proactive and progressive client leadership experience

·       Extensive knowledge of modern communication theories (marketing science, attention, etc) and how they influence our work

·       Strong track record of innovative work delivery

·       Significant knowledge of the digital environment and the changing communications landscape

·       Strong commercial track record of growing revenue internally and externally
