Esperanto Technologies is looking for a new member of the Test Engineering team to focus on System-Level Test (SLT).  As a key member of the group, you’ll be involved with creating and maintaining test programs that will functionally validate chips containing in excess of a thousand cores architected to run cutting edge inferencing models.  You will be working with groups that are end-to-end in the chip development process, including design, device verification (DV), software, systems engineering and operations.  The opportunity for growth is only limited by what you desire to learn, and all doors are open in our very cohesive and collaborative company culture. 

Summary of duties:

• Create, debug, and maintain programs that will fully validate our silicon.
• Assist in new silicon validation
• Gather requirements to generate both characterization and production programs in the SLT environment.
• Communicate with vendors (test hardware and software) to ensure the quality of the SLT infrastructure.
• Collect and analyze test results in order to validate functionality and measure performance.
• Diagnose chip failures that arise in production, during endurance testing and from customer returns.

The ideal candidate will meet the following:

• BS or MS degree in CS/CE/EE or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Ability to debug and root cause issues by creating controlled experiments.
• Experience with scripting languages (primarily python).
• Must be self-driven and require minimal supervision.
• Communication skills are very important along with the ability to work with different groups in the company.
• Desire to work outside of your comfort zone.

Preference given for:

• Strong Python skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in silicon debug.
• Exposure to firmware, drivers, etc..
