Production Planner/Scheduler

Position Purpose

The individual in this position will assist the Aircraft Production & Maintenance Manager and production coordinator, to provide efficient planning and scheduling support by constant monitoring of work documents and workload. Assists in updating of work status to reflect progress, as well as to highlight problems affecting the planned production schedule, or other jobs in work within the shop.
 

Duties & Responsibilities

Administrative Duties:
Maintenance Personnel Time Keeping

  • Entering time for contractors daily
  • Submitting contractor timesheets to payroll
  • Tracking of all Field Mechanic hours
  • Timesheet approval in timekeeping system(s)
  • Processing change of status for time off requests/unpaid time off
  • Entering on-call pay for Welders
  • Entering holiday pay for all direct employees

Departmental Admin Tasks

  • Managing department SharePoint calendar (vacation schedule)
  • Fuel Card Management/Shop Credit Card Management
  • Assisting mechanics with RDS login requests with IT
  • Submitting employee credit card forms to accounting
  • Updating mechanic tool lists
     

Production Duties:
Heavy Maintenance Planning

  • Opening Production Orders
  • AOG planning and coordinating
  • Ordering repair/replacement parts for aircraft repairs
  • Coordinate Mechanic travel and hotels/rental cars
  • Maintenance planning for hangar maintenance visits

Shop Floor Production

  • Reviewing and ending of all hangar production orders
  • Updating all aircraft production paperwork indexes (MFG and Maintenance)
  • Weekly auditing of all aircraft production paperwork
  • Creating and verifying of invoices of materials and routes
  • Updating MFG/Phantom invoices of materials and routes per updated revisions
  • Creating all aircraft discrepancy paperwork
  • Building production paperwork books for the hangar floor
  • Prioritizing ME Services for shop floor
  • Tracking part shortages
  • Updating production scheduling software (Concerto) with pertinent information
  • Demand change requests driven by the materials group
  • Conversion deviation record digital process start to finish. Rescinding when necessary.
  • Oversee technical manual repairs digital process start to finish. Rescinding when necessary.
  • Production index database coordinating, implementing, and training
  • Parts requisitioning requests for Mechanics

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge of office procedures and equipment including computers, copiers, calculators, scanners; Excellent organizational skills; ability to prepare routine reports and maintain specialized files and records; willingness to work with others, and ability to follow directions, and react positively to changes.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft office applications. Experience with MS 365 is preferred.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred.
  • Requires a high level of communication both verbally and written to provide clear and concise work instructions and communicate verbally with managers, cell leaders and peers.
  • High School Diploma or equivalency. Valid Driver’s license.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally in an accurately and professional way. Written documents must be clear and concise.
