Position Purpose

This position performs basic cleaning, assembly, disassembly, blending, part marking and testing tasks to aircraft parts and components with defined instructions in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Erickson requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs basic cleaning, assembly, disassembly, benching/blending and testing tasks to aircraft, aircraft parts and components. Documents work per company, customer and regulatory requirements. Parts marking per customer specifications
  • Performs general duties in work area as defined by Lead.
  • Maintains an organized work area and good housekeeping practices.
  • Reads and complies with Repair Station Quality Manual, Production Certificate Quality Manual, Standard Operation Procedures, Federal Aviation Regulations, Technical Manuals, Drawings, and Specifications as applicable.
  • Works in a team environment and follows Erickson’s Values Charter.
  • Travels as required to meet company and customer requirements.
  • Performs administrative duties e.g. Time entry, DAX, Training classes, creates, revises and uses department documents, etc.) as required by Erickson company and department requirements.
  • Orders, receives and returns parts in accordance with company policies
  • Performs Lean, Standard Work and Continuous Process Improvements.
  • Mentors, trains and coaches new employees when qualified as a mentor or trainer.
  • Achieves and maintains task qualifications for all work performed.
  • Works with hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals and products to perform required tasks.
  • Complies with all company policies and Standard Operating Procedures as a team player.
  • Provides support to internal and external customers to meet customer requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalency, Valid Driver license.
  • Knowledge to perform basic, entry level maintenance and manufacturing tasks associated with cleaning, assembly, disassembly, benching/ blending, testing as required. Knowledge of good housekeeping and organization tasks.
  • Skill in assembly, disassembly, benching/blending and testing as required on production and maintenance documentation. Documenting work per company and customer requirements.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and specifications.
  • Ability to perform basic maintenance and manufacturing tasks per written instructions.
  • Required that employee is technically skilled and has good mechanical aptitude. Must have good eye and hand coordination.
  • Minimal communication is required both verbally and in written documentation.
  • Have the following qualities: Professionalism, strong work ethic, punctuality, honest, team player, work alone or with others, positive influence, detail orientated, problem solving skills.
  • 1 year of aviation experience preferred. Composite or fiberglass knowledge a plus.
  • Work 40 or more hours per week as directed (overtime, weekends, etc.)
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as directed and drive company vehicles or rental vehicles as directed.
