POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for weekly individual clinical supervision for case managers within the HIV Case Management Program., as well as completing continuing education requirements to increase competency in HIV care and with priority populations. The individual will operate in accordance with the established professional standards and guidelines as stated by the Ohio Revised Code and put forth by the Ohio Counselor, Social Work and Marriage and Family Therapist Board as well as the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).  
SALARY: $50/hour
HOURS PER WEEK: 20

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to utilizing a computer for typing and attending meetings, travel and having reliable transportation to engage with the Ryan White funder and attend required meetings, and working within health records.

 
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide a minimum of 4 hours of individual high-quality supervision to Case Managers per month, with a focus on viral suppression and other improved HIV related health outcomes through reviewing documentation, putting theory into practice, and advanced continuing education.
  • Participate in grant sponsored trainings and meetings, including ODH/HCS-sponsored training for newly hired Part B case management personnel within 45-60 days of hire date, and case management supervisors’ trainings offered generally two times per year.
  • Provide training and utilization support to staff related to HIV and related health determinants, ethical decision making, and documentation of services.
  • Maintain a supervision contract and supervision notes with each clinical supervisee. Reviewing and signing supervision tracking logs monthly per funder and agency guidelines.
  • Collaborate with site-based manager to evaluate staff caseloads through ongoing review of assessments, individual case plans, and other related documentation to ensure appropriateness for services, and ongoing engagement of client and client’s personal and formal supports. 
  • Provide assistance and coaching when lethality assessments and crisis intervention(s) are required.  Coordinate with site-based manager as needed.
  • Oversight of confidentiality practices to ensure all staff are adhering to confidentiality policies, HIPAA, and other established professional standards and guidelines.
  • Promotes a collaborative, cooperative, and productive working environment, as well as demonstrates sensitivity, team building, support, and respect.

  • Utilize email, Microsoft Teams, phone, and other telecommunication options to participate in meetings across sites.
  • Other duties as assigned related to this position by supervisor.

EDUCATION/LICENSURE:
  • Possess a master’s degree in Social Work
  • Maintain active Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision designation (LISW-S) licensure within the state of Ohio.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and other Qualifications
:
  • Have at least three years of experience as a social worker, preferably one year of supervisory experience.
  • Must have sensitivity to, interest in and competence in cultural differences, HIV/AIDS, minority health, sexual practices, chemical dependency, chronic disease management, and a demonstrated competence in working with persons of color, and gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender community. Ability to work harmoniously with diverse groups of individuals.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and other computer applications required.
  • Must have knowledge and adherence to social work standards and ethics.
  • Must have reliable transportation to be able to attend in person trainings as needed, with advance notice.

Background and reference checks will be conducted.
