POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Facilities and Special Projects, the Facilities Supervisor plans, coordinates, and supervises the work of facility technicians and oversees the maintenance and repair of Equitas Health facilities. This role implements maintenance policies and procedures, assigns and monitors work projects, ensures safe work practices, and performs a variety of technical tasks. The Facilities Supervisor also serves as the acting Facilities Technician when needed and performs other related duties as assigned.

The Facilities Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring Equitas Health staff, clients, and visitors have safe, secure, clean, and well-maintained facilities that meet all applicable codes, rules, and regulations. MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and supervising building and facilities maintenance at Equitas Health. This includes inspecting buildings and facilities to determine needed repairs, maintenance, or improvements, and ensuring all routine and major work is completed on schedule.

- Prioritize work assignments and estimate repair costs or gather cost estimates as needed.
- Create work schedules, assign tasks, and review the work of team members. Train staff on safe and effective methods for completing tasks and help solve challenges they encounter.
- Monitor the day-to-day operations of the Facilities Department. Look for ways to improve how work gets done and recommend changes to processes. Work with management to review and implement improvements.
- Keep accurate records, including preventive maintenance schedules, repairs, replacements, and upgrades, in both paper and electronic formats.
- Ensure all necessary materials, supplies, and equipment are available to complete assigned work. Order parts, supplies, and equipment as needed.
- Work with leadership to set priorities for projects and address any concerns or challenges.
- Lead safety training and enforce safe work practices to maintain a secure working environment.
- Evaluate employee performance, provide feedback, and recommend disciplinary actions when necessary. Assist in hiring and promoting team members.
- Address complaints from internal staff or the public and take steps to resolve issues appropriately.
- Represent the Facilities Department in meetings or presentations, providing updates and information on maintenance programs.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, demonstrating professionalism, clear communication, and follow-through in all interactions.
- Assist in preparing the department’s budget. Monitor spending to ensure it stays within limits and explore ways to save costs or recover expenses when possible.
- Respond to emergencies as they arise, providing direction and support to resolve the situation effectively.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/LICENSURE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and other Qualifications:
- Participate in developing and implementing goals, objectives, practices, policies, procedures, and work standards.
- Supervise, train, plan, organize, schedule, assign, review, and evaluate the work of staff.
- Organize, implement, and direct assigned maintenance and operations activities.
- Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner; organize own work, set priorities, and meet critical time deadlines.
- Make sound independent decisions within established guidelines.
- Identify problems, research, and analyze relevant information, develop, and present recommendations, and justification for solution(s).
