Grid Systems Consultant - On Site -W-2 - Oracle Utilities Network System
Description
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of SCADA, EMS, OMS, DMS, ADMS, and DERMS solutions.
- Assist with commissioning, testing, deployment, and stabilization of grid management systems.
- Contribute to troubleshooting, system optimization, and operational support activities.
- Participate in requirements gathering, data analysis, and business process documentation.
- Support system analysis, design, configuration, build, and testing across project lifecycles.
- Assist with defect triage, deployment coordination, and post-deployment support.
- Support project execution activities using Waterfall or Agile methodologies.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, project deliverables, and reports.
- Support and participate in workshops, meetings, training sessions, and solution demonstrations.
- Assist with software selection efforts, including requirements definition, RFP development, and vendor evaluation.
- Support change management and business process improvement activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, site requirements, and quality standards.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support successful project delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited program.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in grid systems or utility operational technology.
- Minimum 8 years of experience with Oracle Utilities Network Management System (NMS) / OMS.
- Experience with OMS, DMS, ADMS, AMI, Distribution Automation, and Distributed Energy Resources preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on technical focus.
- Ability to influence technical outcomes and support project execution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with operational technology platforms and industry-standard tools.
- Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Ability to travel up to 50%; valid DMV/MVR required as part of background screening.
