Optimizely’s On-Demand Services (ODS) team provides experiment execution services to Fortune 1000 clients across the globe. The ODS team works with Optimizely customers to plug gaps anywhere in their experimentation workflows — we help with ideation, prioritization, design, development, QA, results analysis, and beyond. Our mission is to push our clients to increase velocity of testing (A/B, MVT, MAB) and personalization, so that our clients can reach their important business goals.

The ODS team is currently made up of 2 Optimization Managers, 1 Project Manager, 2 UX/UI Designers, 1 Developer Lead, 4 Front-End Developers, and 2 QA Analysts. We have folks in North America (NY, CO, & TX), South America, and Europe, so you’ll have lots of couches to crash on when the pandemic is over! We are passionate about driving results for our clients, exploring new ideas together, and learning from “failure.” We also believe that trust and collaboration are cornerstones of a high-performance team… and that work should be fun! Since we will be spending a lot of (virtual) time together — integrity/trust, a collaborative spirit, and a sense of humor is a must.

The ODS team is rapidly growing and we are adding another Optimization Manager (OM). Part strategic adviser, part conversion optimization mastermind, and part account manager, OMs are critical to our team’s and clients’ success. As an ODS OM, you get to work with an array of clients across many industries, including amazing brands like Visa, Nike, Zendesk, and Slack. On the front lines, you will typically work with a primary point of contact (often a marketing- or optimization-focused individual) who works at the client company. They will rely on you to help decide what and how to test in order to drive innovation within their digital experimentation program. Additionally, you will help manage our internal execution cycle alongside our Project Manager and our team of designers, developers, and QA engineers. After each test has concluded, you’ll review the results with your client and help them uncover any business learnings. The goal is achieving high-ROI experimentation programs for our clients.

In your first 90 days you will:

  • Fully integrate with our team
  • Own your own portfolio (mix of new and transitioned accounts)
  • Work with senior team members on strategic accounts
  • Be able to confidently explain all ODS offerings
  • Conduct your first Backlog Build (i.e. a collection of test concepts for a client)
  • Conduct your first Results Review
  • Establish cross-functional relationships across the organization; become the “face” of On-Demand Services in the EMEA market

Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of clients, nurturing the account to drive test velocity and effectiveness for a high ROI experimentation program
  • Collaborate with a team of other Optimization Managers, Project managers, Designers, Developers, and QA Engineers to execute the experiments for our customer
  • Take vague test ideas or requirements from a client and turn that into a recommendation of how to frame the experiment from an experiment design and UX design standpoint
  • Run weekly or bi-weekly calls with your clients where you’ll discuss the results of recently completed tests, the status of experiments in the design/dev cycle, and strategize on future experiments
  • Help clients find the best methods to show the value of experimentation and personalization within their companies
  • Help build and scale a Digital Experience Optimization (DXO) practice that provides strategic ideation, design guidance, development and quality assurance support to a growing number of customer focused on digital experience optimization
  • Work closely with team leadership to improve processes, enable customer success, drive revenue, and evolve our services  
  • Establish yourself as the ODS expert in the EMEA market, working with the larger Services department to identify opportunities to position ODS

Required skills

  • 3+ years of experience in experimentation / testing
  • Experience interfacing with clients and executives
  • Experience with AB testing tools such as Optimizely and VWO
  • Experience writing requirements for designers, front-end developers, and QA analysts
  • An understanding of quantitative and qualitative web analytics and key metrics that digital companies use to measure digital performance
  • Exceptional customer insights and proven success utilizing analytics to provide actionable, strategic recommendations
  • 4-year college degree from an accredited institution
  • Nice to have (to help advise clients): Experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Hotjar, Contentsquare, etc.
