The Business Analyst will be part of Optimizely’s (formerly Episerver) EPMO function. The Business Analyst is responsible for working with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, specify, and validate business requirements to meet business needs. Must be able to work with a diverse stakeholder group across different functions of the business to identify areas of contention and agree on a future state that enables the company to scale.  Able to successfully transition to unfamiliar business and systems domains with minimal guidance.  May act as a team lead on small to medium-sized initiatives.  Will be required to inform the EPMO project governance framework for future change initiatives with respect to business analysis controls. 

As a Business Analyst you will:

  • Elicit, analyze, communicate and facilitate the validation and approval of business, system and implementation
  • Ensure the requirements are unambiguous, unique and understandable by both business users and solution delivery
  • Work with stakeholders to prioritize requirements effectively based on business value, risks and
  • Manage requirement traceability and changes throughout the project
  • Set up structure and processes for continuous improvement.
  • Map out business processes and identify areas for improvement using techniques such as “lean”.
  • Apply enterprise analysis tools to support the definition of the Target Operating Model
  • Document Business Capabilities for the organization.
  • Conduct gap analysis for new initiatives to determine the impact on the organization and ensure alignment to company goals and objectives.
  • Identify the business analysis approach for a given problem statement and work with project leads to develop requirements work plans, identify task dependencies, estimates, and resource skill requirements; support risk management and change management
  • Identify, refine, and accurately articulate the business problem, objectives, value proposition, design options and recommendations for assigned Bring alternative perspectives and influence consensus among stakeholders.
  • Continuously strive to improve understanding of requirements techniques, processes, and deliverables required to support successful project Embrace feedback and opportunities for process improvement.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Business Analyst and 10+ years of project/change experience.
  • Experience across different functional areas preferably including Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, and HR.
  • Preferably have experience of working for a digital-first business.
  • Have worked on third-party software selection and implementations.
  • Preferably have experience of Merger & Acquisition consolidation projects.
