We are looking for a Manager to join our Content Recommendation team. This team is responsible for content ingestion and real-time event processing pipelines, and APIs supporting them.

You’ll be managing a team of excellent and professional Full-Stack Engineers, and you’ll have to get your hands dirty when it comes to the development and maintenance of our existing platform. 


What you’ll be doing: 

  • You will be a manager in a distributed engineering team, sitting in various time zones (UK, Vietnam and Japan currently) 
  • You will build and support products, platforms and tools that are widely used by both internal and external stakeholders 
  • You will drive continuous improvements to the reliability, performance, security, and cost of our data infrastructure 
  • You will solve business-critical data and distributed systems engineering problems, utilizing the best languages and technologies for the job 
  • You will work with highly scalable systems that ingest, process, store and serve event data and provide real-time analytics insights 
  • You will be engaging with various technical and business stakeholders  


  • Knowledge of build/release systems and processes 
  • 5+ years of production experience with at least one dynamically typed language (e.g. Node/Ruby/Python/PHP) 
  • Understanding and experience of the full software development lifecycle  
  • Experience with version management tools such as Git, and their role in full SDLC  
  • Deep passion for the infrastructure space and solving complex problems 
  • Experience with Cloud Computing platforms like AWS and Azure and understanding of scaling and reliability concerns 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills 
  • At least 3 years of tech leadership experience with overseeing numerous projects end-to-end, and are looking for your next big challenge 


  • Strong DevOps background 
  • Experience with using Elasticsearch 
  • Experience MySQL and REST APIs 
  • Experience with email marketing 
  • A/B testing and web personalization solutions 
  • Experience with microservices development and related tools and practices 
  • Experience with async/await coding styles 
  • Knowledge of container services (e.g. Docker/Kubernetes)
