We are hiring a full-time, permanent Manager, Encor Marketing professional working out of our Edmonton, AB office. This role is eligible for our hybrid Where We Work program. As our Marketing Manager, you’ll help shape how Albertans experience our brand. You’ll lead a talented team to build campaigns, marketing programs and systems that resonate, drive growth and reflect the communities we serve.

What you’d be responsible for
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Encor Marketing, you will have the following key accountabilities:
Brand Strategy & Marketing Funnel
- Collaborating with our Senior Manager, Marketing on evolving our brand vision, promise, and go-to-market strategy for both residential and commercial markets
- Owning the full marketing funnel – from awareness to conversion and retention – across digital, mass media and community channels
- Supporting product launches with naming, campaign planning, messaging, visuals, and landing page strategy
Team Leadership & Development
- Guiding and growing a team of four marketers in the fields of digital marketing, content and social media, acquisition and loyalty—supporting their development and success.
- Creating positive momentum to drive high team engagement through effective collaboration, team activities, coaching and mentorship.
Creative & Agency Oversight
- Overseeing creative development and management from our agency and creative partners to ensure the work sparks interest, drives action and achieves goals efficiently
- Reviewing and approving creative briefs, project plans and assets to ensure consistency, efficiency, compliance and strategic alignment across all channels
Customer Experience & Insights
- Partnering with our broader team to deliver customer-first experiences and bring customer insights into everything we do
- Analyzing customer feedback and behavioral data to inform messaging, improve engagement, and guide campaign direction
Performance & Optimization
- Managing marketing budgets while ensuring a smart, efficient spend
- Tracking brand health, marketing Return on Investment (ROI) and key performance metrics
- Testing and learning with pilot initiatives and sharing insights across the team
- Overseeing paid search and digital performance, offering recommendations for optimization
Community Engagement & Owned Channels
- Leading sponsorships, donations, and local engagement plans
- Supporting owned channels (website, social, Interactive Voice Response (IVR), etc.) with fresh, relevant messaging

What’s required to be successful
You’re bringing a mix of technical expertise, leadership behaviours and creative vision, backed by:
Required (Must Haves):
- A degree in marketing, business, marketing, communications, or a related field
- Experience that includes:
- 10+ years of experience in brand marketing, advertising or account planning
- 5+ years leading a multidisciplinary marketing team
- Managing multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously, with strong prioritization and organizational skills. You are highly adaptable.
- Deep knowledge of mass media, social (paid and organic), search, email, direct mail and community marketing
- Comfort with Key performance Indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics.
- A test-and-learn mindset—you’re always curious and open to new ideas.
- Strong communicator and collaborator across teams and levels.
- Confident presenter with a knack for storytelling and can tell a story with data.
- Customer-centric mindset – you care deeply about solving real problems.
Assets (Nice-to-Haves):
- Experience in a fast-paced marketing agency or corporate marketing department
- A track record of launching new products or services and an iterative approach
- Comfort with ambiguity and a knack for finding clarity
- Experience using data to personalize messaging and target customers
- Familiarity with Go To Market (GTM) strategies and startup-style environments
- Understanding of the Alberta competitive energy market.
