We are hiring a Full-Time Permanent Centre of Excellence Senior Advisor working out of Edmonton, AB.
Are you passionate about driving innovation, optimizing processes, and empowering teams through dynamic reporting solutions? EPCOR Utilities Inc. is looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Centre of Excellence Senior Advisor to modernize and transform our reporting environment.
As a Senior Advisor, you’ll be at the heart of EPCOR’s transformation journey – automating manual reporting processes, streamlining analysis and reconciliations, and creating self-service reporting platforms that provide analytics for strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong technical data skills with a solid understanding of finance processes and Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) data structures.

What you’d be responsible for
- Championing the Centre of Excellence strategy across Finance and EPCOR.
- Understanding finance processes, systems and data structures to identify innovative solutions that drive improved productivity and business performance.
- Collaborating with Finance teams to understand complex financial reporting requirements.
- Translating requirements into automated, scalable data analytics reporting solutions that reduce manual effort and improve accuracy.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards and reports for Finance and executive leadership that support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Establishing reporting standards and implementing a governance model across the Finance reporting platform.
- Maintaining security models and access controls.
- Creating technical documentation and training materials.
- Delivering training and support to Finance users to develop and troubleshoot data analytics reporting.
- Providing input into the design, development and maintenance of data models using Databricks and SQL.
- Supporting overall Finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
What’s required to be successful
- A degree in Business, MIS, or a related field (CPA designation preferred).
- 5+ years experience in Finance reporting or accounting functions.
- 5+ years experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or financial ERP systems.
- Experience developing reporting solutions in complex enterprise environments using Power BI and Databricks.
- SQL development and query optimization skills.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Proven ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and facilitate consensus.

Hours of work: 80 hours biweekly
Wage: Starting at $53.92 per hour. Final wage and step will be determined at the time of selection and is based on a combination of factors as outlined in the Collective Agreement that may be found online.
