EPCOR USA, a company known for its safety and operational excellence across our water and waste water distribution systems, is hiring a Talent Acquisition Consultant working out of our Phoenix, AZ office. 

As a Talent Acquisition Consultant, you will collaborate directly with leaders, hiring managers, internal and external clients, and the broader Human Resources team to provide a full range of talent acquisition services required by each business area. This includes partnering with the business managers/supervisors to understand and execute their strategic Talent Acquisition goals, identifying and resolving complex sourcing issues, and contributing to a variety of HR projects and initiatives. The successful candidate for this in-office role may be eligible to participate in EPCOR's hybrid work program.

What you’d be responsible for

  • Delivering proactive and successful talent attraction and recruitment strategies.
  • Ensuring the delivery of optimal results against appropriate performance metrics, such as:

       Alignment of candidate pool qualifications with vacancy requirements

       Supporting managers / supervisors in interview and selection process as needed

       Sourcing of passive candidates and creation of talent pipelines

       Timely completion of recruitment activities

  • Working with front line managers to identify core people challenges and provide advice and guidance. Developing recruitment and sourcing tactics to address specific people issues within a business unit.
  • Performing full-cycle, end-to-end recruitment for a specific business area encompassing exempt and non-exempt positions.
  • Continually identifying opportunities and implementing solutions to improve upon current process and/or procedures.
  • Supporting and equipping the business to effectively attract and source top talent, making the best decisions about internal and external placements, and onboarding new candidates
  • Involvement in Certification training logistics or career fairs as needed
  • Acting as an EPCOR ambassador at industry meetings and various external events.
  • Building relationships with schools or colleges/universities to support talent pipeline and potential partnerships
  • Proactively and productively partner with external recruitment firms to address hard-to-fill roles as necessary.

What’s required to be successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources (or related discipline) and/or an equivalency of a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a recruiting role or related experience including progressively responsible experience in Human Resources.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, Outlook) and related software.
  • Experience with Oracle, LinkedIn, Indeed, and Jobvite or other Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Demonstrated ability to use social media and other online and non-traditional avenues to attract and interface with candidates.
  • Proven attention to detail.
  • Exemplary professional communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Self-starter with excellent time management, multi-tasking, organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and/or coach. 
  • Periodic travel to facilities in the Phoenix metro area, as well as overnight travel to other locations in Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.
