We are hiring three temporary Summer Student positions, who will assist EPCOR’s Engineering team at our state-of-the-art Blue Sky Water Reclamation Facility in Taylor, Texas.

Our Summer Students will gain experience and learn essential industry skills by assisting the Engineering team in various design and construction tasks at the Blue Sky facility. This facility will receive and purify water from a large industrial fabrication facility, using the most advanced and proven treatment technologies and processes available in the market.

The Summer Students will be supporting the engineering, quality, operations and maintenance teams, working closely with other process engineers and project managers to handle various project in support of the design, construction and operations.  This person will coordinate with the various contractors on site to ensure the quality and final product is delivered as expected.

What you’d be responsible for

  • Review design and construction drawings
  • Conduct field walks of the facility
  • Inspecting equipment in the field for proper installation
  • Document and follow up on assigned areas of responsibility
  • Review and assist with cost control of the vendors
  • Participate in design reviews
  • Assist with operations and maintenance planning
  • Ability to work 8am-4pm Monday-Friday
  • Demonstrate a high performance, high discipline, safe, accountable, focused, innovative and achievement-oriented, easy to do business with manner of working.

 

What’s required to be successful

 

Knowledge/Training/Education A high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate. Must be currently enrolled in a college / university and actively pursuing an engineering or construction-related degree

Technical Skills: Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel. .

 

Behavioral Expectations: A desire to learn and willingness to ask questions. Attentive to detail and capable of working independently on assigned projects. Comfortable working at an active construction site, and able to adhere to EPCOR’s safety standards. Will be required to wear PPE.

 

EPCOR provides water, power, water reclamation and natural gas services acor4ss North America. EPCOR has been serving the US since 2011, and Texas since 2016. EPCOR is designing water treatment and water reclamation facilities to support a large fabrication facility in Taylor, Texas.
