We’re EP+Co and we’re looking for a Brand Planner to work on any number of iconic brands on our eclectic roster. From men’s fashion and financial wealth management, to consumer brands like Rubbermaid and Elmer’s glue. Someone who can work closely with creative and account partners to uncover brand truths and consumer insights that translate into brand and business strategy, and inspire creative briefs. The kind of briefs that spark great ideas with results to match. The ideal candidate has an inquisitive mind and can develop informed points of view to manufacture success for our clients. Each of our Brand and Connections Planners at EP+Co is trained on a suite of primary research tools that allow you to bring the consumer into the process, whether you’re exploring shifts in high-level business strategy, confirming hypotheses to inform a creative brief, guiding creative development, or seeking a deeper understanding of consumer sentiment after a brand action or incident.  

Your Impact: 

  • Strategically guide the agency in all facets of current and potential client business
  • Work with the client to provide strategic thought leadership and business acumen both within and beyond the communications process
  • A process-driven approach to strategy, and the ability to craft POVs that build client trust, respect, and relationships
  • Can think “big picture” ideas and granular in the same day, maybe the same hour
  • Collab with research teams to define research objectives
  • Ability to analyze the research and use it to develop presentations that feature insights that will spark the brains of the creative teams
  • Understands what researching and solving ad hoc problems means

Some experiences you bring:

  • Minimum of 2 – 4 years of relevant experience with an agency, ideally with previous role of junior to mid-level brand planner
  • A sense of the digital world
  • Skills using quantitative and qualitative research to create insights that align with clients’ marketing initiatives
  • Communication skills that convey ideas in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to lead a room or remote audience through a presentation that influences others not just to accept, but rally behind a great idea or point of view
  • Strong opinions lightly held
