POSITION SUMMARY
The Vice President, Business Development for Strategic Alliance Partners (SAP) will play an important role in driving towards EO’s three- and ten-year goals of exponentially growing (10x) the global organization. This person will be responsible for seeking out, leveraging, and closing major institutional partnerships with organizations that will feed meaningful and accelerated growth in the EO ecosystem. This role will provide a unique opportunity to make an impact on this organization for years to come, by building an effective partnership growth model from the ground up. This person will not just be a skilled executor, but a thoughtful, strategic resource that will help shape the future direction of how EO achieves its ambitious growth goals.
This is a remote role with preferred locations of Japan, Mexico, India, or South Africa.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaboratively creates the vision for how institutional partnerships can be used to feed meaningful and accelerated growth into the EO ecosystem.
- Works closely with Chapter and Committee leaders and existing partners to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Works collaboratively with the existing partnership teams at EO to seek out and execute on ways to leverage EO’s many existing partnerships for member growth.
- Creates short list of new organizations around the world to target for potential partnerships.
- Approaches and creates discussions at the senior-most level of said organizations to identify mutually beneficial partnership structures.
- Articulates ROI and forecasted results from potential partnerships and sponsorships.
- Negotiates, closes, and documents partnerships.
- Manages and nurtures partner relationships.
- Evaluates and communicates results to the Senior Leadership Team and the broader organization on an ongoing basis, including detailed metrics.
- Partners with the Marketing & Communications team to deploy all internal and external marketing campaigns to maximize the success of the partnerships.
- Thoughtfully aligns with any and all key EO stakeholders to gain buy-in to support, building trust, awareness, and long-term relationships.
- Remains abreast of global market trends and competitive landscape.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in any field.
- Minimum 12 years of relevant professional experience
- Experience and successful track record in seeking out, cultivating, and closing major B2B partnerships, to drive growth in a similar geographically-dispersed and international environment
- Experience and successful track record in affinity marketing/business strategy, including global affinity/referral marketing, affiliate and integrated partnerships and sponsorship programs
- Ability to accommodate global travel and flexible working hours.
- Ability to interact with entrepreneurs with tact, diplomacy and poise.
- Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills.
