THE ORGANIZATION

Entrepreneurs’ Organization (“EO”) is a global nonprofit membership organization and peer network for entrepreneurs, connecting approximately 20,000 members through more than 220 chapters worldwide. EO’s purpose is to move the world forward by unlocking the full potential of entrepreneurs. Since 1987, EO has helped entrepreneurs achieve transformational growth through life-enhancing connections, shared experiences, and collaborative learning. Guided by EO’s core values, trust and respect, thirst for learning, think big, be bold, and together we grow, EO’s international staff works across diverse cultures in support of EO’s global community. As an EO employee, you will work in a global entrepreneurial community and have opportunities for learning, collaboration, and professional growth. EO offers a competitive total rewards package, including benefits and professional development support, and a flexible work environment, subject to role, location, and applicable plan terms.

POSITION SUMMARY

This role supports Entrepreneurs’ Organization. Employment may be through a local employing entity or employer-of-record partner, depending on the hiring location.

The Senior Data Analyst is the most technically skilled analyst on EO’s Data and Insights team. This role connects business reporting needs with the data systems maintained by EO’s Technology team.

You will work with SQL, schemas, and transformation logic to understand how data is built, test changes, and confirm that results match business expectations. You will investigate differences between source systems and reporting, help document how data flows, and lead careful analysis when leaders need to understand performance, variances, or anomalies on core metrics.

Technology owns production work on the data platform (pipelines, deployments, and platform operations). This role focuses on partnership, validation, and trusted use of data in reporting and decisions.

Team priorities will evolve as EO’s data function grows. Work in governance, planning scenarios, or new analytics tools may be added over time based on need and fit. The strongest initial focus is data platform partnership, validation, and prioritized analysis; governance, planning scenarios, and analytics tooling deepen as the function matures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Data platform partnership and quality

  • Serve as the main analytics contact for Technology on warehouse, ETL, integration, and reporting-related data issues.
  • Turn business reporting needs into clear technical inputs (fields, logic, tests, and acceptance checks).
  • Investigate differences between source systems (CRM, finance, membership platforms, and others) and the BI reporting layer.
  • Review the analytical impact of schema changes, new data sources, and pipeline changes. Define acceptance criteria and sign off for analytical use. Technology approves and deploys production changes.
  • Help maintain documentation for data flows, transformation rules, and known data quality exceptions.
  • Keep clear separation between Technology-owned work (production pipelines, deployments, platform admin) and analytics-owned work (requirements, validation, reconciliation, and stakeholder communication).

Analysis and insight

  • Lead complex analyses when leadership or partners need to understand variances, trends, or anomalies on core operational and membership metrics.
  • Use SQL and appropriate analytical methods (such as cohort views, segmentation, or driver-style reviews) to explain what changed and what may be driving it.
  • Connect analysis to data quality and metric integrity work so conclusions match how the data is actually built.
  • Partner with the Senior Director to interpret findings and frame implications for decisions.
  • Support BI and Survey colleagues on data and metric questions. BI owns dashboards and adoption; Survey owns survey programs and survey-based insight.
  • May support planning scenarios or forecast-style analysis when leadership prioritizes that work.

Documentation and governance support

  • Support the Senior Director on KPI definitions, lineage notes, and related documentation when prioritized.
  • Take part in cross-functional data governance forums and provide a technical view on metric and schema questions.
  • Help ensure analytical outputs meet agreed standards for accuracy, clarity, and appropriate labeling of limitations.

Analytics and AI tools

The following responsibilities are expected to develop as the team and data function mature

  • May help evaluate analytics or AI-assisted tools (for example, assisted querying, anomaly flags, or draft narratives).
  • When used, AI-assisted outputs are checked against verified baselines before they are used for decisions.
  • Advise the Senior Director on where automation helps and where human review is required.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • 5+ years in data analytics or a closely related role with growing technical responsibility.
  • Strong SQL and hands-on work with relational data.
  • Demonstrated experience with ETL, data pipelines, schemas, and transformation logic. This includes validating and troubleshooting how data is prepared for reporting, not only using finished datasets.
  • Experience working with IT, data engineering, or a central data platform team on pipeline issues, data validation, and schema or integration changes.
  • Experience with at least one modern data warehouse or cloud analytics environment (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or similar).
  • Experience with BI tools (Domo, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar) for analysis and/or report validation.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct focused complex analyses (such as cohort, segmentation, or variance analysis) and explain results to non-technical audiences.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Experience with data governance (definitions, lineage, quality standards, or change control).
  • Experience with driver-based forecasting or scenario analysis tied to planning.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted analytics tools, with a habit of validating outputs before use.
  • Experience in nonprofit, membership, or chapter-based organizations.
  • Experience with data catalog or modeling documentation (for example, dbt docs, Collibra, Alation).
  • Exposure to Python or R for analysis or automation.
  • Experience with multi-region or global data (currency, regions, privacy considerations).
  • Experience mentoring or informally leading other analysts.
