Job Description:

As an Envistacom Senior Cybersecurity/IA Engineer, you will be a member of a team responsible for the security architecture technical development for various communications platforms and systems. The goal is to develop high assurance architectures for commercial hardware platforms. Our customer set includes financials, healthcare, high tech enterprise, regulated markets (utilities, oil, gas, etc.) federal, and DoD/military customers that purchase cyber secure communications equipment and services. The Senior Cybersecurity/IA Engineer will act as the security architecture product leader responsible for insuring a robust high assurance posture for all our communcaitons systems, platforms, and services.  Primary to the role is assessing commercial platforms and satcom systems vulnerabilities to insure the best security posture possible over such systems..  Additionally, the Senior Cybersecurity/IA Engineer will plan for product evolution and further development as needed to maintain the product’s success in the target market. 

Target Markets

Envistacom’s cyber and IA portfolio of capabilities serves DoD and high value commercial customers including but not limited to: DoD, federal, IC, commercial airlines, commercial enterprise – Fortune 1000, and defense contractors.  The Senior Cybersecurity/IA engineer will have developed security architectures for similar product portfolios serving these markets and have direct familiarity with key customers within these markets.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation and administration of information security policies, procedures, and technologies to ensure the protection of systems, applications, and data on development products and networks for government use
  • Lead the systems engineering documentation and development for cybersecurity architectures for new products, systems, and networks
  • Develop a strong product cybersecurity vision that can be clearly communicated effectively internally and to the market
  • Drive cybersecurity roadmap, strategy and requirements management processes to drive the right priorities for the product while properly documenting market and product requirements
  • Develop and communicate product, technology development and other roadmaps internally (and externally as properly edited)
  • Identify, understand and mitigate product vulnerabilities in current product/service releases and guide the mitigation/minimization/elimination of those vulnerabilities in future product/service releases
  • Provide professional security services for IA/Cybersecurity in accordance with government: DoD, NSA, NIST, etc. policies and guidelines
  • Lead the security engineering process from design inception, through design, development, test, and product support/maintenance
Job Requirements:
  • 15+ total years of cybersecurity and IA engineering development experience in the DoD/Federal customer base
  • Bachelors Degree in a technical area
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, systems engineering skills
  • Specific NSA Type 1/high assurance INFOSEC engineering experience
  • Security architecture development experience, either at the platform or system/network level
  • Proven track record of successfully engaging in cross-functional teams in complex projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to stay focused in a dynamic environment
  • Highly energetic, positive attitude individual with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to decipher market intelligence and perform analysis to educate product management teams and drive product roadmap decisions
  • US government related position. US citizenship required.

Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GSLC, CASP, etc.

Experience with Unix, Linux OS and Python/scripting languages

Knowledge of firewalls, IPS/IDS, virtualization, domain structures, user authentication, data encryption, access control, etc.

Knowledge of CSfC, Zero trust networking, Secure VPNs, etc.
