Job Description:

Envistacom is looking for a talented Network Administrator I to support our RESPONSIVE STRATEGIC SOURCING FOR SERVICES (RS3) Integrated Network Operations Center (INOC) Contract, maintaining 24/7 Network Operations capability. The candidate will Install, configure, and maintain the program's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers. This position requires traveling as needed.


Job Responsibilities:

· Install, configure, and maintain the program’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers.

·Perform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems.

· Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups. Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access. Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses. May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software. Project specific: assists in the installation, maintenance, and usage of the organization's local area network.

·Assist in the establishment of network procedures regarding access methods and time, security validation checks, and documentation.

· Maintain network software and hardware inventories.

· Research software and hardware issues regarding the network.

· Inform users when there are network problems.

· Monitor and maintain continuity with software licensing and maintenance agreements.

·Troubleshoot network problems.

· Monitor the system daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns.

  • Respond to and resolve Tier I and /or II help desk requests.
  • Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution.
  • Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software and other processes.
  • Ability to cross-train and pick up on additional skills quickly.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

· A BS/BA degree and up to 5 years of relevant experience or an AA / 2yr Technical School certification and 2+ years of relevant experience.

· Active DoD Secret Clearance.

· IAW DOD 8570.01M, personnel will have the appropriate baseline and computing environment certifications for IAT Level I.

· Sharp troubleshooting skills.

· Ability to work independently.

· Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and a comprehensive background check.

Special Requirements:

·         Up to 15% Travel may be required
