Enphase Energy, Inc. is seeking a Legal Operations Associate to drive the development and execution of the legal department’s operations, focusing on contracts management, external counsel and vendor engagement and billing processes, and automation and process optimization initiatives for the legal department. The Legal Operations Associate will initially report to the General Counsel or other senior leader within the legal department. The successful candidate will have a passion for project management, innovation, increased automation, and the effective use of technology to continuously improve and scale legal services; strong interpersonal and communications skills; and be highly productive while juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing international company.

What You Will be Doing

· Advancing and owning all aspects of the legal department outside counsel vendor management program, including electronic billing management, establishing billing guidelines, interfacing with external counsel billing teams, and facilitating invoice reviews and approvals

· Creating purchase orders, processing invoices, preparing legal department spending reports, associated processes, vendor onboarding/offboarding/communications, legal matter creation, and assisting with forecasting and budgeting

· Working closely with the General Counsel and the finance department on actual monthly and quarterly legal spending and estimations/budgeting

· Assisting in selecting and implementing a contracts lifecycle management program, including matter/contract creation, approval, execution, retention, access, and destruction

· Providing contract execution support through the use of DocuSign

· Working with stakeholder groups to identify process/ technology gaps and to design and implement solutions to scale and improve the efficiency of the legal department

· Other projects and responsibilities as may be requested

The Skills You Have

· Demonstrated project/process management experience

· Deep understanding of legal budgeting processes and external counsel billing

· Experience in selecting, implementing and/or maintaining technologies for e-billing (Simple Legal), workflow automation, e-signature, and contract lifecycle management

· Ability to think critically and solve problems by leveraging data and benchmarks to provide the best solutions

· Passion for technology, innovation, data, and continuous improvement

· Stellar organizational skills, attention to detail, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across internal and external stakeholders

· Excellent communication skills, with an ability to build relationships within the legal department and cross-functionally across a global and growing company

· General understanding of relevant accounting principles

· Highly productive with minimal oversight and the ability to maintain focus on achieving strategic goals, managing multiple concurrent projects and responsibilities

Your Education and Experience

· 5+ years in-house as a legal operation professional, paralegal, or project manager

· 3+ years’ experience with legal billing and/or contracts lifecycle management preferred

· Outstanding academic record, with a university degree from a well-respected institution

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Teams
