About the role
 
As part of Enphase’s global supply chain diversification and localization initiatives, Enphase is looking to hire an experienced component engineer to drive transfer and NPI bring-up of mechanical components at suppliers in the US. This role will work at the intersection of design engineering, manufacturing and supply chain to establish capabilities in the US (at existing and new supplier locations) for developing injection molded, stamped and cast components that are used in Enphase’s products made in the US. The right candidate will have a mix of both technical knowledge of products and program management capabilities in developing and cultivating supplier relationships.
 
What you will do
  • Influence component design, lead DFM efforts for new product introductions through cross functional collaboration within Enphase and at the supplier.
  • Own all component localization in the US throughout the entire life cycle including design, tool development, qualification, PPAP and production release.
  • Manage supplier relationships for all localized components. Be the single point of contact for all Enphase-supplier communication and deliverables/requirements.
  • Drive capacity enhancements, manage supply chain requirements at the supplier and own delivery of products to meet Enphase’s manufacturing requirements.
  • Assist with location of component sources vendors and manufacturers, locate alternate sources, find components substitutions along with qualification strategy
 
Who you are and What you bring
  • B.S./M. S Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or other suitable educational background or work experience; MBA preferred, but not mandatory.
  • 10+ plus years of Manufacturing experience in the Injection Molding, Stamping and Casting industries in progressively increasing scope.
  • In depth knowledge of mechanical processes in the injection molding, stamping and casting processes.
  • Familiar with Electronics Manufacturing and Mechanical Assembly Processes.
  • Good Influencing Capability on Vendor Side to Drive External Factory Operations. 
  • Work with Microsoft Excel, PPT, and Word.

The base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $151,000. This salary range may be modified in the future. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, education or training, work location, and market conditions. This position is also eligible for bonuses, equity, and benefits.
