Job Summary
The Director of E-Commerce Marketing will lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of all e-commerce marketing efforts, with a primary focus on Amazon and other key platforms. This role will oversee Amazon marketplace operations (Seller Central/Vendor Central), influencer marketing, and peripheral systems (e.g., PPC, SEO, CRM) to drive customer acquisition, retention, and sales revenue growth. The ideal candidate is a data-driven leader with a proven track record of managing high-revenue e-commerce accounts ($100M+/month) and achieving 7x ROAS in competitive categories like consumer electronics or tech.
What you will do
- Amazon Marketplace Strategy
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Amazon India strategy, including listing optimization, Amazon PPC, SEO, A+ Content, and inventory management.
- Manage Seller Central and/or Vendor Central accounts to maximize product visibility, conversion rates, and detail page view rates (DPVR).
- Partner with Amazon Ads and agencies (e.g., SalesDuo, Oceanwing) to optimize campaigns, reduce ACoS, and achieve 7x ROAS.
- Influencer and Affiliate Marketing
- Design and manage influencer marketing campaigns, leveraging platforms like ShareASale to drive organic traffic and brand awareness.
- Build relationships with key influencers in the tech/energy storage space to promote products like portable power stations , Balcony Solar and EV chargers
- Peripheral Systems Management
- Oversee integration of CRM, analytics tools (e.g., Helium 10, Jungle Scout), and AI-driven platforms to track KPIs and optimize performance.
- Implement inventory forecasting and pricing strategies to ensure stock availability and competitiveness on Amazon India.
- Team Leadership
- Lead a team of e-commerce specialists, including PPC managers, SEO analysts, and content creators, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product development, supply chain) to align marketing with business goals.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting
- Monitor and report on key metrics (e.g., ROAS, ACoS, conversion rates, sales growth) using real-time dashboards.
- Deliver quarterly business reviews to senior leadership, outlining revenue impact and strategic recommendations.
- Market and Competitor Analysis
- Conduct ongoing analysis of Amazon competitive landscape, identifying opportunities to outperform brands like Anker, EcoFlow, and Jackery.
- Stay updated on Amazon’s algorithm changes, regional policies, and consumer trends in US and EU region.
Who you are and What you bring
- Experience
- 15+ years of experience in e-commerce marketing, with 5+ years in a leadership role managing Amazon marketplace operations.
- Proven track record of managing $100M+/month in Amazon revenue, ideally in consumer electronics, tech, or portable energy storage.
- Experience working with Amazon Ads, DSP, and influencer marketing platforms, with demonstrated results (e.g., 5x–7x ROAS, 20%+ ACoS reduction).
- Skills
- Expertise in Amazon Seller Central/Vendor Central, PPC, SEO, A+ Content, and inventory management.
- Strong understanding of AI-driven tools (e.g., SalesDuo’s Business Intelligence Dashboard) and analytics platforms (e.g., Helium 10, DataHawk).
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with experience scaling teams to support enterprise-level accounts.
- Proficiency in data analysis, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA from top B school.
- Certifications (Preferred)
- Amazon Advertising Certification or equivalent.
- Google Analytics, HubSpot, or other relevant marketing certifications.

- Familiarity with US /EU e-commerce market dynamics, FBA logistics, and regional consumer behavior.
- Prior success in launching or scaling consumer tech products
- Knowledge of cross-border e-commerce strategies to align with global marketplaces (e.g., US, EU).
