About the role 
As a Field Applications Engineer, you will be based in the São Paolo region and be responsible for pre-sales installer support, as well as supporting on-site installation and commissioning of new products.
What you will do 
  • Solar Sales and Installation Process: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the solar sales process, including lead generation, customer engagement, and closing techniques. Understand the installation process and oversee the successful execution of commercial solar projects.
  • Field Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with the engineering team to assess field requirements for new commercial solar products. Provide valuable insights and recommendations based on your extensive experience in the field.
  • Product Launch Support: Work closely with the engineering and product development teams to accelerate the launch of new commercial solar products. Provide guidance and input to ensure the development of high-quality, reliable, and efficient solutions.
  • Code Compliance: Stay up-to-date with the latest INMETRO and ANEEL regulations and ensure all commercial solar projects adhere to the relevant electrical codes and standards. Advise and guide team members on code compliance issues.
  • Field Support and Troubleshooting: Offer expert technical support and troubleshooting assistance to field technicians and installation teams during the implementation and maintenance of commercial solar systems. Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise
  • Value Selling: Utilize your comprehensive knowledge of commercial applications and the benefits of solar energy to effectively communicate and articulate the value proposition to potential customers. Collaborate with the sales team to develop compelling sales materials and presentations.
Who you are and what you bring
  • BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Valid electrical license or Certification and 15+ years of experience in the solar industry, with a focus on commercial applications.
  • Fluent in Portuguese (minimum C1 level) and English (minimum B2 level) - essential 
  • Strong understanding of the solar sales process and installation procedures, including lead generation, customer engagement, and project management.
  • Expertise in all aspects of field applications for commercial solar systems, including design, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of INMETRO and ANEEL requirements and ability to ensure code compliance for all commercial solar projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to a variety of audiences.
  • Ease in programming algorithms, advanced Excel and knowledge in Power-BI.
  • Proven ability to provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance in the field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interface with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product development, and sales.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions and meeting project deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to visit project sites, meet with customers, and provide on-site support to ensure successful project execution.
  • Must be located in the São Paolo region.
