About the role
As a Staff PCB/CAD Engineer, you will be part of the Product Engineering team, who are responsible for maintaining and improving existing products throughout their lifecycle, including design, testing and addressing obsolescence issues. Essentially ensuring a product remains functional, meets customer needs by troubleshooting customer issues, and implementing continuous improvement strategies to optimize product performance and ensure products remain compliant with relevant industry regulations and standards.
What you will be doing:
- Should have good Experience in Designing Power electronics, High speed, High Voltage PCB and Multi-layer PCB is must.
- Exposure of different PCB, CAD, CAM design tools (PADS, Altium Designer), preferably extensive experience in Cadence Allegro.
- Design to meet IEC standards of EMC/EMI, Surge, EFT, Safety and Reliability.
- Design PCB as per the specs provided by Technical Team, Maintain and update PCB Design Documents, Participate in Design Reviews, PCB Inspection/ Testing.
- Must have worked in Stacked and complex boards with high layer count.
- Should individually handle PCB Layout from Schematic creation to Gerber Release.
- Experience in Power and Signal Integrity analysis.
- Experience in DFM/DFX and Thermal analysis.
- Verify existing designs and recommend improvements.
- Propose process improvements to ensure PCB functionality, quality and reliability.
- Perform updates according to change in customer or internal requirements.
- Identify technical risks and challenges and propose action plans
- Self-driven, motivated and show high productivity in PCB design and development.
- Hands on experience in creation of BOM, fabrication & assembly drawings for ECO Process.
- Able to communicate clearly, organize effectively and document work thoroughly while working with local and global teams.
- In-depth knowledge of PCB fabrication process and Assembly.
- Good Understanding of SVN/Windchill PLM/Arena/Product Data Management (PDM) Tools based release and change order process and PCB lifecycle Processes.
- IPC process certified in PCB Designing will be an advantage.
Who you are and what you bring:
- B.E. in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and 10+ years’ experience outside of university in PCB/CAD Designing.
What would make you stand out?
Significant experience in one or more of these areas:
- In depth experience on power electronics PCB and CAD designing for Inverter, converters.
- Extensive PCB design experience including high-current capacity design, better thermal management, Power and signal integrity, EMI/EMC control, High-voltage safety compliance and Component selection for power boards.
