JOB SUMMARY

The Product Management Specialist is responsible for assisting in the initiatives required to support and advance our decision support and benefit communications and engagement capabilities. Responsibilities include identifying potential opportunities, conducting market research, generating product requirements, determining specifications, delivery timetables, and time-integrated plans for product introduction as well as developing go to market strategies for multiple internal teams.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Recommend the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements, appraising new product ideas and/or product enhancements
  • Assess market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products
  • Provide source data for product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives
  • Obtain product market share by working with sales leadership to develop product sales strategies
  • Bring new products and features to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with development teams
  • Introduce and market new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, marketing, and operations
  • Assist in recommendations for product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing development costs; and anticipating volume
  • Help define the end-to-end operational requirements to support new products and features
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related product initiatives and projects as needed

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES  

  • Experience in the Human Capital Management industry & benefits administration technology strongly preferred
  • Experience working with third party technology partners
  • Skilled using Confluence, Jira, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills required
  • Demonstrated ability for creative analysis and creative problem-solving

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • 4+ years of experience working within a Product Strategy & Management team
  • Desired experience with solutions in benefits administration for employee benefits including:
    • Understanding or experience with the requirements for decision support in the ben admin space
    • Knowledge or experience regarding assisting employees in understanding and using the benefits offered by their employers
  • BA in Business preferred or equal experiences
