JOB SUMMARY

The Senior UX Designer position is an integral part of the Experience team. This position will collaborate with designers, engineers, and product owners to understand and represent the end-user. They will have knowledge, experience, and point of views and deliverables which are critical in the ongoing effort to better enable product and experience teams. They will also need to be able to make informed, confident decisions and to set the strategy for future products and features.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with Product Managers, Product Owners and development teams
  • Create a wide range of deliverables, from innovation and new product concepts to prototypes, wireframes, and high fidelity mockups
  • Supports the discovery phase, always fiercely advocating for the needs of our end-users
  • Be accountable for the delivery, quality, and success of the user experience of our products, including optimization and innovation with new features
  • Facilitate stakeholder conversations and workshops
  • Solves complex problems and develops innovative solutions
  • Motivates and inspires other team members
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES  

  • Expert understanding of user-centered design methods and practices using multiple approaches, including analytics and user research, to drive decisions and develop product iterations
  • Ability to successfully manage all aspects of a project from start to finish, working with both onsite and distributed team members to ensure on-time project delivery
  • Expert knowledge of current design tools, such as Axure or Figma, along with an ability to quickly learn new tools as they emerge
  • Impeccable design sense with a keen eye for detail
  • Critical and creative thinking while maintaining close attention to detail
  • Deep user empathy and strong communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong communication skills with a knack for working with a variety of stakeholders

 

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
    • In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, equivalent years of experience in user research, user experience, client experience, marketing, designing software products, B2B B2C technology/service, or a related field
  •  4+years of hands-on experience with the following:
    • As a UX/UI designer, visual designer, product designer, or similar
    • Adobe Creative Suite
    • Axure
    • Figma
    • Design systems
    • UX Research (design and facilitation)
    • Product analytics, NPS and Voice of the Customer data
    • Iterative design and development lifecycle (Agile Software Development)
  • Portfolio or Case Studies of work demonstrating breadth and depth in enterprise applications, User-interface design, design system design, and product design
