Description

The Billing & Collections Specialist is responsible for billing and collection of annual, quarterly and/or monthly invoiced amounts. The Billing & Collections Specialist is a customer-facing role, expected to interact with customers via phone and email as it relates to invoice questions, maintaining customer data, including payment and credit card information, processing billing frequency changes, cancellations and reinstatements. 
 
Job Description  
  • Maintain records of customers, payments and credit card information
  • Interact with customers via email and/or telephone regarding billing and credit card issues
  • Invoice contract fees to customers
  • Electronically charge contract fees to customer's credit cards
  • Process customer requests for billing frequency changes
  • Process account suspensions and cancellations for non-payment
  • Assist clients with troubleshooting of access, including self-service portal and eMoney platform as it relates to billing activities
  • Monitor and manage a portfolio of accounts, identify overdue accounts that require escalation (includes suspension, churn, etc.) and process those escalations as necessary. 
  • Contact customers with overdue accounts and attempt to either collect the overdue amount or negotiate a payment plan to collect it in installments. 
  • Maintain records of contacts and attempted contacts with delinquent account customers as well as records of any payments collected from the customer. 
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints concerning billing.
  • Assist other departments with other duties as assigned 
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience required
Skills  
  • Customer Service and Billing Knowledge
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office(including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal 
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and in remote setting 
  • General knowledge and understanding of eMoney systems (Application, SalesForce and Zuora)

The salary range for this position is $43,000 - $55,000; commensurate salary to be determined based on skills, professional background and expertise.  This position is also eligible, pursuant to applicable eMoney policies, for the annual bonus program, retirement contributions, health insurance, sick leave, parental leave and paid time off.
